Dr. Seda Terzyan, PhD

Clinical Neuropsychologist and Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 29251)

Seda Terzyan, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 29251) with a specialization in treating and evaluating co-occurring cognitive and psychological problems.  She is the Founder of Perspectives.

Dr. Terzyan received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California.  She thereafter completed two years of post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric and adult neuropsychology.

Unlike what so frequently occurs in our healthcare systems, Dr. Terzyan is keen on identifying and treating underlying causes, rather than just suppressing symptoms.

Dr. Terzyan is currently a member of medical staff at Hoag Hospital and St. Jude Medical Center.  Dr. Terzyan is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN).

Dr. John Bellone, PhD, is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 29457) who specializes in assessing adults with concerns about their memory and other cognitive abilities. At Perspectives, Dr. Bellone conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults and older adults.

Dr. Bellone has lectured extensively on the power that exercise, healthy diet, quality sleep, psychological well-being, and staying cognitively and socially active have on maintaining and improving cognitive functioning both now and as we age.

Dr. Bellone completed his training at several top-tier institutions, including Loma Linda University (PhD), UCLA (pre-internship), Yale University (doctoral internship), and Brown University (postdoctoral fellowship).

Dr. Stephanie Kohlman, PsyD, is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 29306) specialized in the evaluation of complex neuropsychopathology.  At Perspectives, Dr. Kohlman conducts neuropsychological evaluations and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for children and adolescents.

Dr. Kohlman has presented at local and international conferences on topics such as understanding executive functioning in college students, the lasting neurocognitive effects of oncology treatment, and executive functioning differences in children with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Kohlman received her doctoral degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology.

Dr. Deam Lim

Dr. Dean Lim, PhD

Registered Psychological Assistant (94025653)

Dr. Dean Lim, PhD, is a registered psychological assistant (94025653), currently under the supervision of Dr. Seda Terzyan.  Dr. Lim provides comprehensive evaluations for children and adults.  He specializes in various evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Dr. Lim received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University.  He completed his APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute

Dr. Judy Su, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 32996) who specializes in assessing adults who have concerns about their cognition. At Perspectives, Dr. Su conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults and older adults.

Dr. Su’s clinical interests are broad, but she is especially interested in the assessment of neurodegenerative diseases and co-occurring cognitive and psychological conditions.  She is also passionate about reducing the risk of cognitive decline from a holistic perspective.  She has provided psychoeducational classes to various groups on the topic of how sleep, mental health, diet, exercise, and other psychosocial factors impact the brain and overall health.

Dr. Su received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, California in 2019.

Alpa Sheth, MBA

Administrative and Business Operations Manager

Alpa Sheth, MBA, is the Administrative and Business Operations Manager at Perspectives.  Alpa’s ensures each patient receives individualized care and attention.  Prior to her work at Perspectives, Alpa has had an array of diverse experiences in the healthcare industry.  She has managed a number of medical practices, including mental health, primary care, pediatrics, and women’s health.   She has significant prior experience in healthcare administration, working for the U.S. Department of Labor as a case coordinator.

Courtney Friend, BA, received her B.A. in Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After graduating, Courtney worked as a Behavior Therapist at Autism Spectrum Consultants, providing one-on-one therapy to children in their homes, schools, and in the community.

Thereafter, Courtney expanded her psychological interests into neuropsychology. Under the training and supervision of Dr. Terzyan, Courtney has been developing expertise conducting neuropsychological examinations by assisting Dr. Terzyan in the administration of an increasing catalogue of exams.
